The highland barley harvest has recently started in Qinghai. On August 21, farmers in Zirong Village, Maozhuang Township, Nangqian County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, began to harvest highland barley.Nangqian County is located in the hinterland of the Sanjiangyuan area of Qinghai, with an average altitude of over 4,000 meters. It is the main agricultural production area of Yushu and was once known as the granary of Yushu Prefecture. In 2025, the county planted 63,500 mu of highland barley, and it has now gradually entered the harvest season.
